Hana Masoumi developed a passion for music from an early age, beginning with children's songs and group singing, as was common for many children growing up in Iran. Alongside music, she was deeply interested in the visual arts, particularly painting and sculpting with clay. From childhood onward, artistic expression became an essential part of her life. Although the social and cultural environment at the time made it difficult to pursue music as a professional career, her passion for music never faded. As a teenager, she began recording her own voice using simple home equipment while immersing herself in the rich traditions of both Iranian and international music. In her late teenage years, she discovered the remarkable artistic connection between traditional Persian music and rock music—a discovery that would become a defining influence on her musical identity. Her first professional musical experience came as a co-founder of the band Ist Nist. In addition to performing at cafés, the band produced original music, providing an important platform for artistic exploration, collaboration, and professional growth. During this period, she also studied solfège and music theory under Farzad Barahman and Paliz Shahmohammadi. She later collaborated with the band Badran at Ava Studio as a backing vocalist alongside Parham Alizadeh and subsequently contributed to several studio recordings with the band Bidad. Alongside her musical career, Hana Masoumi has worked as a trilingual voice artist in Persian, English, and German for commercial and educational productions. She has also served as an English interpreter for masterclasses and has gained experience as a voice actress for film and digital media. Today, her artistic work focuses on singing, live performance, and fostering intercultural dialogue through music. She believes music is a universal language capable of connecting people across cultures while introducing the richness of Persian musical heritage to international audiences.
