An Evening with the SAMA Ensemble & Negar Bouban

Experience a special concert featuring the SAMA Ensemble and the outstanding Iranian musician Negar Bouban. The sounds of the santur, oud, clarinet, and daf come together to weave traditional Persian music with contemporary compositions. The program includes both instrumental and vocal works and is part of the concert series “Sounds of Freedom: Women Musicians Without Borders,” which provides a platform for Iranian women artists.

Founded in 1995 in Shiraz, Iran, the SAMA Ensemble, under the direction of santur player and composer Ali Pirabi, combines Persian musical traditions with contemporary influences. The ensemble brings together musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds and creates a space for artistic collaboration, intercultural dialogue, and creative exchange.
